Michael Jerome Phillips

Michael Phillips is an artist, writer, and former musician based in the Los Angeles harbor area. His poetry has been published in various national literary magazines, the LA Times, and small presses such as, Rant, Slugfest, Bukowski Review #1, Peep, Caffeine, Fell Swoop and Atom Mind -- who also published a book of his stories and poems, Alternative Man.

With an extensive background in printing and running offset presses for 15 years, Michael is more recently working with an 1800's hand letterpress, printing his own chapbooks and small art projects. For the last 10 years, he maintains his website, smog.net as well as a collection of his ironic paintings at inkpoems.com.
